NVS TGT selection has TWO Tiers:
👉 Tier-1: Preliminary (Qualifying) Exam
- Mode: OMR Based (Objective)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Marks: 300
- Nature: Qualifying only (marks not counted in final merit)
- Negative Marking: Yes, 1 mark deducted for each wrong answer (1/3rd of 3 marks)

📌 Essential Qualifications (Common Requirements)

1. Educational Qualification
Candidate must have ANY ONE of the following:
Option A — 4-Year Integrated Degree
- Four-year integrated B.A./B.Sc. + B.Ed. from an NCTE recognized university
- Must have 50% marks in:
- The concerned subject
- Overall aggregate
Option B — Regular Graduation + B.Ed.
- Bachelor’s degree (Honours/General) with:
- At least 50% marks in the subject applied for
- 50% marks overall
- AND B.Ed. with minimum 50% marks
Option C — Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
- 3-year Integrated B.Ed.–M.Ed. with 50% marks
Option D — B.Ed. (Special Education)
